Our North Finchley unites local residents to advocate for community-driven development, protect green spaces, and ensure sustainable housing that meets the needs of all. We aim to empower voices against detrimental urban plans and foster community connections.

Get ready to be part of something extraordinary at <a fr-original-style="" href="https://ournorthfinchley.org/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="text-decoration-color: currentcolor; user-select: auto; box-sizing: inherit;" target="_blank">Our North Finchley&#39;s</a>&nbsp;COMMUNITY GATHERING/WALKATHON. It&#39;s an event like no other, and we want you to be there! 🎉 Sunday 14th June, 2pm For the community, charity and our nature reserve! Our North Finchley&rsquo;s Community Gathering/Walkathon started as a chance to bring local people together to celebrate our neighbourhood and raise our voices for the kind of developments we do and don&rsquo;t want. But the GLA overruled Barnet Council&rsquo;s decision to reject the awful tower block plans. We have just one option left: a Judicial Review to challenge the legality of the process. We need to raise &pound;4000 or more in six weeks for legal fees. After that, we&rsquo;ll have to raise a lot more to fight the case in court. You don&rsquo;t have to walk 5km. You don&rsquo;t even have to be there to help. But we&rsquo;d love everyone to come together right now and show their support. This development is the opposite of good housing: unaffordable, badly designed single-bed flats we don&rsquo;t need with poor transport links and a shortage of GP surgery places. It will take away a vital entertainment hub for young people, as well as the many elderly and disabled groups that use the leisure complex and bowls club. And it will trash our nature reserve, causing severe damage to the protected wildlife living there. Thousands of us signed petitions and sent objections to the GLA and Barnet Council. They dismissed all of us with a simple wave of the hand. If everyone who has taken action so far donated even a few pounds, we&rsquo;ll have the money to take this fight to court. It&rsquo;s not over. This is our last shot. Let&rsquo;s take it together.
