Spalding Gentlemen's Society promotes the appreciation of local history and culture through exhibitions, events, and educational programmes. Our mission is to preserve and share the rich heritage of Spalding and its surrounding areas.

Delve deep into the past. Join an exciting activity club for children ages 5+. Try hands-on activities, uncover intriguing facts, learn new skills, solve puzzles, try challenges, make new friends, and achieve badges. 1.30pm at Spalding Baptist Church, Swan Street PE11 1BT (except 5 July, which will be at Ayscoughfee Hall Gardens). &pound;3 per child. History Hunters 2026

Bring history to life! Explore the world of the Ancient Greeks with our May Half Term workshop.&nbsp;Discover more about Gods and Goddesses, try painting pottery, learn about temples and have a go at making your own column. Hear tales of myth and legend, investigate ancient theatre and masks, and learn how to write your own name using the Greek alphabet.&nbsp; Refreshments are provided, but please bring a packed lunch.&nbsp;

Members are invited to a special preview of the SGS Spring Exhibitions: Science and Navigation.&nbsp; Date:&nbsp;Thursday 26th March, from 6pm-7.30pmWhere: Ayscoughfee Hall Museum Be the first to explore new displays drawn from our collections, highlighting objects, documents, and stories that reflect our heritage.
