Assalamu Alaikum! Join us for Brothers&#39; Chill Night, a relaxed evening dedicated to brotherhood, community and building meaningful connections. In the busyness of everyday life, it&rsquo;s important to make time to come together, strengthen our relationships and enjoy the company of fellow Muslims. This evening is an opportunity to unwind in a welcoming environment, meet other brothers and enjoy some friendly games, snacks and conversation. Whether you&rsquo;re already part of the community or joining us for the first time, everyone is welcome. Together, we&rsquo;ll explore practical ways to navigate uncertainty, temptation and the ups and downs of everyday life, while finding greater steadiness through our faith. Our Guest: Shaykh Dr Haitham al-Haddad Shaykh Dr Haitham al-Haddad is a UK-based Islamic jurist and scholar who serves as Chair of the Fatwa Committee of the Islamic Council of Europe. He has studied the Islamic sciences for over 20 years under renowned scholars and holds a doctorate in Islamic Law from SOAS, University of London, specialising in the jurisprudence of Muslim minorities.&nbsp; He has extensive experience in Islamic jurisprudence and its application to contemporary life, having served as an Islamic judge and advised individuals and organisations on a wide range of matters. He has also delivered courses and lectures internationally across areas including fiqh, &lsquo;aqeedah, tafsir, seerah and Islamic thought.&nbsp; This is an opportunity to benefit from his experience and insight in a conversation centred on something we all face: how do we stay grounded when life gets loud? Little Pure Hearts, an engaging workshop designed to help children build a meaningful understanding of Wudu and its importance in everyday worship. Led by Ustadha Taibah Gani, this interactive session will explore the practical steps of purification while helping children appreciate the spiritual lessons and responsibility that come with preparing for prayer. Assalamu&rsquo;Alaykum&nbsp; The relationship between Islam and science is often portrayed as one of conflict. Yet throughout history, Muslims have made significant contributions to scientific inquiry while viewing the pursuit of knowledge as a deeply religious endeavour. How should we understand this relationship today? Are faith and science competing sources of truth, or can they work together to help us better understand ourselves and the world around us? In this introductory lecture, Dr Shoaib Ahmed Malik will explore the foundations of the Islam and Science discourse, examining key historical developments, contemporary debates, and the challenges facing Muslims in an age shaped by scientific authority. The session will provide an accessible overview of the field, equipping attendees with a framework for thinking critically about the interaction between religious belief and scientific knowledge.Whether you are a student, professional, academic, or simply curious about the intersection of faith and reason, this event offers a unique opportunity to engage with one of the most important intellectual conversations of our time. About the SpeakerDr Shoaib Ahmed Malik is a Lecturer in Science and Religion at the University of Edinburgh. He holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Nottingham and a second PhD in Theology from St Mary&#39;s University, Twickenham, placing him at the intersection of the natural sciences and religious studies.His research focuses on the relationship between Islam and modern science, particularly evolutionary theory, theology, and the philosophy of science. His acclaimed monograph, Islam and Evolution: Al-Ghazālī and the Modern Evolutionary Paradigm, received the 2022 Expanded Reason Award from the International Society for Science and Religion (ISSR), recognising it as a leading contribution to the field.Dr Malik is also actively involved in developing the emerging academic discipline of Islam and Science, helping to build the intellectual foundations and institutional infrastructure for future scholarship in this area.

The Dominion &mdash; A Four-Part Series on Sura al-Mulk Sura al-Mulk is a powerful reminder of who truly holds dominion over all things. Beginning with the declaration of Allah&rsquo;s absolute sovereignty, the sura invites us to look beyond the world around us and recognise the signs of His power, wisdom and perfect creation. Across its 30 verses, Sura al-Mulk moves between the vastness of the heavens, the order and beauty of creation, the reality of accountability, and the ultimate return to Allah. It challenges us to reflect on the way we see the world, the purpose of our existence, and what it truly means to live with awareness of our Creator. This four-part series offers an opportunity to journey through Sura al-Mulk with greater reflection and connection. Rather than simply reading the sura, we are invited to pause with its words, contemplate its message, and consider how its reminders can shape the way we understand our faith and live our lives. A journey through Sura al-Mulk &mdash; to recognise the One who has dominion, reflect on His signs, and learn to live with that awareness.

The Dominion - A Four-Part Journey Through Sura al-Mulk

Assalamu&#39;Alaykum! A practical, engaging 10-week journey helping children aged 5-13 learn how to prepare for, perform and understand salah, while building confidence and a positive connection with prayer. The children will be divided into two groups 5-8 years and 9-13 years to ensure age-appropriate teaching and expectations are maintained. Our first workshop block will focus on two important areas of a child&rsquo;s Islamic learning: Ṭahārah (Purity) Understanding cleanliness, purification and how to prepare ourselves for worship. Ṣalāh (Prayer) Learning how to prepare for, perform and understand the prayer, including its movements, recitations and everyday application.Throughout the 10 weeks, children will gradually build their knowledge and confidence through practical demonstrations, activities, games, discussion and guided practice.
