Vigo Village School PTFA supports local education by raising funds for essential resources like laptops, while fostering community spirit through engaging events like the Book Themed Scarecrow Trail, benefiting both students and residents.

Join Vigo Parish Council and Vigo Village School PTFA for a fun filled Book Themed Scarecrow Trail around the village! We are raising money to help provide much needed laptops for Vigo Village School, &nbsp;while also supporting our local community. Enter Your Own Scarecrow Support this fantastic event by creating and entering your very own book themed scarecrow! Your scarecrow will be displayed outside your property and added to our trail map, allowing members of the public to explore the village, discover your creation and vote for their favourite. Don&rsquo;t live in Vigo Village? No problem! If you live outside the village and would still like to enter, please email vigoptfa@gmail.com, and we can arrange for your scarecrow to be displayed somewhere within the village. There will be prizes for the winning &nbsp;Adult and Child scarecrows! Follow the Scarecrow Trail Come along and enjoy a trail around the village, hunting for all the wonderful book themed scarecrows and voting for your favourite. Trail maps will be available to purchase for &pound;2 from Vigo Village Hall between 11:00am and 3:00pm. Each trail sheet will also include a FREE Hidden Word Activity. Find the hidden word and return your completed trail sheet to the Village Hall to be entered into a prize draw!Your scarecrow voting slip will also be included on your trail sheet. Please make sure your completed voting slip is returned to the Village Hall by 4:00pm. &nbsp;Scarecrow Drawing Competition Get creative and enter our Scarecrow Themed Drawing Competition! Draw your scarecrow themed picture on A4 white paper. Please write the following information on the back of your picture: &nbsp;Your nameYour age/year groupContact telephone number&nbsp; How to enter: Vigo Village School pupils:&nbsp;You can hand your picture into the school, where entries will be collected before the event. If you don&#39;t attend Vigo Village School:&nbsp;Please bring your picture to Vigo Village Hall at 10:00am on Saturday 3rd October for judging. All entries will be displayed in the Village Hall throughout the event for everyone to enjoy. Winners will be selected from each age group, with winning entries displayed and prizes awarded to the winners. Support the Community Cupboard We will also be collecting donations of non perishable food, including: Tins and canned goods&nbsp;Cereal&nbsp;Dried foodTea and Coffee Every donation will help support the Community Cupboard and those within our local community. &nbsp;Refreshments Refreshments will be available to purchase at the Village Hall, so why not stop by, grab a drink and enjoy the atmosphere! Come Along &amp; Get Involved! Bring your family, get creative and join us for a fantastic day of books, scarecrows, trails, creativity and community spirit! Every registration, trail map purchased, donation and contribution will help us get closer to our goal of raising money for laptops for Vigo Village School while supporting our local community. We can&#39;t wait to see your amazing creations!
