No opportunity to rally together to save the club. It was simply gone in the blink of an eye after having our place in the Northern Premier League confirmed at the AGM for the first time in the history of the old club.Within weeks, a group of friends, acquaintances and business owners began discussing the idea of creating a Phoenix Club to bring football back to Widnes and on September 18th 2025, Widnes Town Football Club was born.Within weeks, the movement grew pace with supporters & volunteers of the old club getting behind the efforts and football supporters who weren't involved with the old club have also hopped on board.We have secured the services of legendary NWCL and NPL Manager Paul McNally who has got clubs promoted from Step 6, Step 5 and reached the NPL West Playoff Final with his most recent club.James Jaggard has joined as our new Academy Manager, to oversee the creation of an Elite Player Development Pathway for the club and a Post 16 Education College on site in partnership with Access Sport College.We also have a fantastic new women's team which hopes to move up through the women's leagues.Each ticket you purchase directly contributes to our efforts in making a meaningful impact in our community. 🎟️Our club is run by a committee of volunteers who have worked incredibly hard to bring National League System football back to Widnes.Fans of Bury, Macclesfield, Chester, Nuneaton and other clubs have experienced the devastation of losing their local club. Other clubs like Wrexham, Oldham and many others have been on the brink of where we find ourselves now.Sadly, we didn't have a knight in shining armour to ride to our rescue in the Summer of 2025. From the perspective of supporters of Widnes FC, we were never told that the old club was in danger of closing or given a chance to save it. It was just gone. But thanks to Halton Borough Council for allowing us to play at the DCBL Stadium and the efforts of a group of hard working volunteers, we are back and every penny from this fundraising effort will go towards the long term sustainability of our club.We are asking the Widnes community, football fans and sport fans in general to show a little kindness by purchasing a raffle ticket (or a book!). Every penny of the raffle ticket sales come directly to Widnes Town FC with no commission taken by our fundraising platform Zeffy - you can give them an optional tip for Zeffy on checkout which is what allows them to provide fundraising tools to clubs and non profit groups like our own free of charge.If you decide that you do not want to leave a tip for Zeffy, simply edit the custom tip to zero when prompted but hopefully you will support them as they have supported our club.Thank you for your support. The winner does have the option to select a 10,000 GBP Cash Prize for themselves and a 10,000 GBP Cash Prize for a sports team, charity or non profit of their choice INSTEAD of a Kia Sportage if they so wish.DRAWING:The raffle will be drawn once all tickets are sold or prior to the end of the coming season.DRAW METHODOLOGY AND LAWS OF CHANCEPrizes will be awarded by the laws of chance with winners selected randomly. We will conduct the draw live on Facebook.Winner must verify that they are over 18. The draw will be conducted live on social media. We will use the contact information supplied to attempt to contact the winner and advertise the Winner's name on all social media channels. The prize must be claimed by the named winner of the contest directly from the Dealership OR in person at DCBL Stadium if electing the cash prize.PRIZE CLAIMS AND DELIVERYThe prize may only be claimed in person. The Kia Sportage must be collected as is, and will be in the form of a brand new vehicle. Winner is responsible for any registration, tax and insurance costs. The prize may not be exchanged other than for the cash prize previously described. If the cash prize is elected, the funds will be delivered to the winner and the nominated entity by direct debit. The winner will be expected to sign a document accepting that the prize has been paid and to participate in publicity.Data protectionAll data collected will be done so in accordance with all data protection and privacy laws.
