WFBA Fundraising

LXCL:<h4 class="lxcl-h4" dir="ltr" style="text-align: start;">We are a Brass Education and Performance Charity!</h4>We aim to provide everyone with the opportunity to learn a brass instrument and develop into a talented musician. We are home to multiple bands with members of all ages and abilities, as well as our outreach programme, where we introduce the next generation to the world of music!

For us, the winter and Christmas period is one of the busiest times of the year. Throughout November and December, you will find our various ensembles out performing around the local area.&nbsp;To help keep us warm and cosy while we perform, help us fundraise towards buying winter coats and hats for all our players!

Help Us Buy Winter Uniforms!

Our outreach programme is where it all begins for our young musicians. In partnership with local primary schools, we are able to offer year-long brass and music theory teaching to year 4 students, where each student is provided with a plastic trombone, cornet, or baritone and given specialised teaching, at no cost to the school, all funded by us as a charity.&nbsp;Donations here help us to maintain and grow our stock of plastic instruments so that we can continue this crucial first step and hopefully spread into a larger number of schools in time!

To make sure we are recognisable when out and about, each of our ensembles has its very own distinct uniform.&nbsp;Currently, we are raising money for t-shirts and polo shirts for our starter and training bands, as well as ties for our youth, community, and competing band!

Youth Champs, the National Youth Brass Band Championships of Great Britain, is the UK&#39;s flagship annual event for young brass musicians. In 2027, we are hoping to take both our training and youth bands to Birmingham on 17th April to give them the chance to test their abilities, experience competitive banding, and engage with and listen to other incredible youth bands from all around the country.Your donation will help fund:&nbsp;- Entrance Fees- Music- Support with transport costs where needed- Youth Champs t-shirts
