Strong Bodies, Brave Minds

Each session combines physical activity with personal development, helping children build skills both on and off the pitch. The first hour focuses on football, developing skills such as passing, dribbling, shooting, teamwork, communication and match play. Children will be encouraged to work together, practise new skills and build confidence through active participation. The second hour focuses on growth mindset and emotional wellbeing. Through practical challenges, discussions and activities, children will explore resilience, positive thinking, kindness, empathy and self-control. They will learn the power of “yet” — recognising that struggling with something doesn’t mean they can’t do it, but that they may need more practice, perseverance or a different strategy. We will also explore managing frustration, learning from mistakes, choosing words carefully, respecting differences and supporting others when things don’t go their way. The programme aims to develop active, confident and resilient children who understand the importance of teamwork, perseverance, kindness and respect — on the pitch and in everyday life.
