ChanceTracks is a collaborative music-making game designed to make electronic music more playful, intuitive and accessible. For this special event, drop in and experience FIVE new musical worlds created by Ana (aka @lunattic_sounds) in collaboration with artists and musicians across Scotland: Cosmic Dance, Hip Hop, Found Sound, Techno and Experimental. You'll also get the chance to play with a selection of Soundplay Projects’ accessible instruments, bringing new ways of interacting with sound into the gameplay. You might make music by tapping a pizza box, touching different objects or experience sound as vibration through platforms you can lie on... The event is also a chance to discover some of the Glasgow charities, organisations and collectives that have helped make ChanceTracks possible, through workshops, knowledge, resources and creative support. These include Music Broth, subSine Academy, GLOSS, Soundplay Projects, Radio Buena Vida, Boomerang Woodworking...and of course the artists and collaborators who have shaped the project along the way: Lewis Cook, Anna Gram, Simon Stokes, ona:v, Louary, Char, Susan Bear, Johnny Cypher, EYVE, ACE V!S!ON. Music journalist Alice Austin, who has been helping share and promote the project, will also be there capturing photos and videos throughout the evening, documenting the event and all the music-making, playing and experimenting :) Alongside the game, there’ll also be a range of snacks and food by MILK Cafe, the Another People Place sound system and DJs providing the soundtrack for the evening! Come along to listen, play the game, explore the sounds and make music together. No previous music-making experience is needed, or pressure to participate, everyone welcome - just bring your curiosity!
