A new screening event is coming to London, baba. Brought to you by NAFS x Salt &amp; Sister Studio Cinema f&rsquo;el Salon is a soft landing of a film night. A safe, non-judgemental, non-shaming space to be authentic; sitting at home, together. If, like us, your experience of the salon growing up was that it was stiff and off-limits; you can rejoice in reclaiming the very space, in the name of comfort and connection. We&rsquo;ll gather around a film from the golden era of Cairo cinema, watching and noticing what was always there: queerness in the margins, in the looks and gestures, in the subtext. Y3ni مش جديد علينا, &nbsp;it&rsquo;s part of the archive, part of the language. We azz-azz on lib and za3tar popcorn, and gag on the timeless gorgeousness of our friends Faten, Shadia, So3ad, Omar and Hind, to name a few.&nbsp; For our first event, we&rsquo;ll be We&rsquo;ll be screening the 1955 Sigarah wa Kas سيجارة وكاس by Niazi Mostafa, starring the exquisite Samia Gamal and Dalida. The drama! The tension! The shik-shak-shok of it all!Post-screening, we farfesh, with space to discuss the film - and anything else. كلّه ماشي. Your ticket includes a live music performance, screening and an arrival snack (if you want to be very 3ammo about it and bring more snacks with you in your jacket lining, feel free).
