VISITOR INFORMATION The fireworks will be set off on the school playing field and the whole field will be roped off and out of bounds, along with some of the main playground, to keep visitors safe from firework sparks dropping. Please tell your children not to go past the roped off areas and please keep any eye on them, in case they forget! Date:&nbsp;Friday 6th&nbsp;November 2026 Times:&nbsp;Gates open from 6pm. &nbsp; Fireworks display starts at 7pm. Entry Gates. The front (Brushwood Drive) and back gates (Blacketts Wood Drive) will be open from 6pm. Simply show your tickets for entry. &nbsp; The back gate will close at 6.45 in preparation for the fireworks. The front gate will remain open throughout the event.&nbsp; Remember to bring your wristbands with you!&nbsp; This event will be SOLD OUT&nbsp;(No tickets available on the night.)&nbsp; Money. Cash and cards accepted. &nbsp;However, please bring some cash, in case the card machines decide to be temperamental on the night! FoRS Bar + Mulled Wine + Hot drinks + Childrens Water.&nbsp; FoRS will be selling a wide range of alcoholic and soft drinks, mulled wine, tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Free water for children is available from here. Hot Food.&nbsp;&nbsp; Our BBQ will be sizzling with a great selection of meat and vegetarian sausages and burgers. &nbsp;(Note: All vegetarian options are cooked completely separately.) &nbsp;For a tasty, vegan alternative, we&#39;ll also be serving a hearty daal with naan. Cakes + Treats.&nbsp; Don&rsquo;t miss the amazing spread of cakes and biscuits all baked by The Russell Bakers. &nbsp; Glow Stall.&nbsp; Light up toys available, all LED &lsquo;switch on, switch off&rsquo; items, so they can be reused.&nbsp; Toilets.&nbsp; Children can use the toilets in the Year 1 / 2 corridor, accessed from the quad. &nbsp;Adults can use the visitor toilet by the office, accessed via the doors in the quad, near the main hall.&nbsp; First Aid.&nbsp; First aiders will be positioned in the quad. &nbsp;If you need first aid assistance, please alert one of the marshals&rsquo; who will be wearing a high vis jacket.&nbsp; Lost Child / Meeting Point.&nbsp; The Cakes Stall! Please tell your children in advance, to go to the cake stall if they become separated from you or lost, and they should tell one of the people serving behind the counter. &nbsp; &nbsp; It&rsquo;s a good idea to bring a TORCH, especially if using the back gate. Event Details:<ul><li>Saturday 3rd  October, 3pm – 5pm, The Russell School</li><li>Who can come? Friends and family of The Russell School – parents, grandparents, older siblings – everyone is welcome!</li><li>Race Entry Fee: £7 per participant (adult or child over 3 yrs)</li><li>Spectator Entry: £2.50 per person (under 3yr olds free but still need a ticket) - come and cheer on the runners and enjoy the refreshments!</li></ul> What to Expect:<ul><li>A high-energy warm-up to get you race-ready!</li><li>A colour explosion course around the school playing field – run, walk, dance, or hop your way to the finish! It’s all about fun, not speed. Get showered in vibrant powder as you make your way through the course.</li><li>Anyone aged 3 to 99 is welcome to do the run. We’ve got you covered with a quick Q&amp;A: Do I need to buy tickets for every child I’m bringing?Yes, please — even babies and toddlers 2yrs and under need a FREE ticket. Can I bring the whole family?Yes! Please do invite friends and family – grandparents, cousins etc to join the fun. What is the coloured powder made from?The coloured powder is non-toxic, made using natural ingerdients from corn starch and vegetable and food-grade dyes (EN71 Certified).  What should I wear if I am running?- Wear comfy sports clothes and sturdy trainers (no crocs or sliders)- White or black t-shirt - the paint powder shouldn’t stain but we can’t guarantee this!- Sunglasses or goggles - children &amp; adults must have eye protection to join the run. Anything else I should bring?- Water bottles - there will be a refill station. A selection of soft drinks will also be available to purchase. - A towel and baby wipes might come in handy afterwards!  Will there be food and refreshments available?Yes! There will be soft drinks and sweet treats from the Russell Bakers to purchase at the event. Are there toilets on-site?Yes! Which entrances can I use to the school site on the day?All access will be via the main school gate (Brushwood Drive). The back gate will not be open. Walking to the event is recommended – if you are driving, please remember to park considerately for local residents.  When will I receive my ticket?Once purchased, you will automatically be emailed a PDF ticket (from Zeffy) with a unique QR code which you will need to show on the day. Is this a fundraiser?Yes, but only in the gentlest sense! We’ve kept ticket prices as low as possible, and any profit will go directly back to supporting the school. FoRS will be selling soft drinks and cakes on the day to help raise extra funds for school resources. So don’t forget to bring your card / cash with you. Can I bring my dog?No dogs will be allowed on the school site.
