Join us for the Filipino Women&#39;s Association UK Annual General MeetingThis is our yearly gathering of the membership and the Executive Board, and the one occasion each year where we look back together on what we have achieved and choose who will carry the work forward. There will also be time to meet and greet other members before the meeting begins. Business of the meeting<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Receiving the Annual Report for 2025 to 2026</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Elections to the Executive Board by secret ballot</li></ul>The Chairman will report on the Association&#39;s activities and achievements over the past business year, and the Treasurer will report on our financial position. Members will have the opportunity to raise questions, express concerns, and share their appreciation for the work of the Board before elections begin. Elections<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Five Executive Board seats are to be filled this year.&nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Nominees will have the opportunity to introduce themselves, and nominators to explain their reasons for nominating, before voting takes place.&nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Voting is by secret ballot, conducted by an Election Officer who is not a candidate.&nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Results will be announced on the same day.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Nominee profiles will be published on fwa-uk.com one week before the AGM.</li></ul> Who can attendAll FWA-UK members are warmly invited.&nbsp; Who can voteFull members, and members who have been registered as full members for at least three months, are entitled to vote.&nbsp; Standing for election<ul fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;"><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Members of&nbsp;at least twelve months&#39; standing are eligible to be nominated to the Executive Board.</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">To stand, or to nominate another member, please email the Secretary at contact@fwa-uk.com for a nomination form.&nbsp;</li><li fr-original-style="" style="box-sizing: inherit;">Completed forms must be submitted no later than Saturday 19 September, one week before the AGM.</li></ul>NominationsNominations for the Executive Board close on Saturday 19 September, one week before the meeting, in accordance with the Rules of Procedure.
