🎭 Help us bring colourful carnival joy to Whalley Range / Hulme / Moss Side! Gentle Steps is hosting a 100% FREE community Carnival Mask-Making Workshop for all ages, all abilities &mdash; no experience needed, everyone welcome. We&rsquo;re running it in partnership other local organisations and community leaders, right here in our neighbourhood, so local families can make their own masks to wear at Manchester Caribbean Carnival 2026. &nbsp;This is all about community, culture, creativity and joy &mdash; bringing people together to celebrate our local Caribbean heritage ahead of the big weekend.&nbsp; Every single person who comes will leave with a mask they made themselves, completely free of charge. We need your help to buy the materials! We&rsquo;re trying to kit this out for as close to &pound;0 as possible via local donations, but we need a small cash pot for the essentials we can&rsquo;t get donated:&nbsp; 🧵 What your donation pays for:&bull; PVA glue &amp; glue sticks (&pound;40)&bull; Elastic, tape, scissors &amp; tools (&pound;30)&bull; Cardboard, foam &amp; mask bases for 100+ people (&pound;50)&bull; Feathers, sequins, glitter, gems, ribbons &amp; paint (&pound;60)&bull; Free squash, biscuits &amp; fruit for everyone on the day (&pound;40)&bull; Contingency for last-minute top-ups (&pound;30) 💛 Every penny goes straight to the workshop &mdash; Gentle Steps is a local women&rsquo;s walking charity, no salaries, no admin costs, no one profits. &nbsp;We keep 100% of every donation thanks to Zeffy&rsquo;s zero-fee platform. 🙏 Can you chip in to help us make this happen?
