This year the #GlosSantaFunRun is on Saturday 12th December 2026 outside the University of Gloucester City Campus (old Debenhams Store) in Kings Square . Registration from 9.30am for a 10.30 start. We pushed it back to allow you Park Runners to do both the Park Run and the Fun Run. Last year we had over 900 runners and you helped raise over £7,500 for local charities; so let’s see if we can beat that this year! Lets fill Kings Square with Santas; so spread the word. Remember your entry fee is a donation which goes to support local charities. This year we'd like you to try and raise sponsorship as well if you can; the sponsor form can be downloaded here https://www.glossantafunrun.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2026/10/Glos-Santa-Fun-Run-Sponsor-Form.pdf The suggested donation for entry are:Individual over 16: £6Child under 16: £4Virtual Entry: £6Team of 4 any age: £20Blue Badge Holders/Wheelchair Users – £FREEMedals: £5Santa Hat: £2Santa suit with Hat: £6Santa Snood: £6 The virtual event has been a success and by offering this choice it means that people who for whatever reason would not be able to make the actual day; will still be able to join in. So, for those that wish to join us in the city, please sign up as normal and for those that wish to do the virtual event, please sign up and send us photos of your run so we can join in the fun. We still have a few of the Santa Snoods for sale at £6 each if you want one. You can collect them from Cass-Stephen’s office in Barnwood or on the day. Remember you don't automatically get a medal and this year we have special wooden medals (doing our part to save the environment); you need to order one if you want one. The prices are set lower as some of you wish simply to take part for the fun of it and don’t require a medal. So, you pay slightly less for taking part and pay extra if you wish to have a medal. That way I don’t have to limit the numbers of runners to the numbers of medals I have on order.Charities need our help more than ever. Basically, they need your help to keep going So we are here to try and raise some much-needed funds to support our nominated charities, The Rotary Club of Gloucester and the Rotary in Gloucester Community Awards who support a raft of local charities every year. Take a look at where the money goes and if you know an organisation who needs help please get them to apply. https://www.rotaryclubofgloucester.co.uk/rotary-community-awards/ All the profits go to charity, who will in turn help the people of GloucesterA FUN DAY FOR ALL –Please DRESS UP AS SANTA OR AN ELF to make it more fun:So we look forward to you joining us by running in your full Santa Set up on Saturday 12th December 2026 in the City or during that week if you’re doing the virtual fun run and posting your photos to show that you’ve done it on our Social Media.
