Alright, listen up! 🚨&nbsp;Koinonia Youth is looking to bring a squad of amazing young people to Summer Madness 2026 &ndash; and we want YOU to be part of it.&nbsp;If you haven&#39;t heard of it, Summer Madness is basically the best weekend of the year. Think: massive live music, speakers who actually get it, sports, workshops, chill-out zones, and thousands of young people hanging out in the beautiful grounds of Our Lady of Bethlehem Abbey. There is even watersports along the Bann! &nbsp;It&#39;s chaos (the good kind), it&#39;s faith, and it&#39;s amazing!&nbsp;Our Very Own Community Hub🏕️The large numbers can sometimes put people off&hellip; but think of it more as a village than a concert! We won&#39;t just be lost in the crowd. As a group, we&#39;ll have our own Community Hub on site &ndash; this is where we gather to eat, chat, play board games, eat (we have our own Mexican chef!!!). We finish there every night with a delicious hot chocolate! It&#39;s our private group space to crash, chill, play games, charge our phones, and just hang out with the leaders and your friends. Safe space. Good vibes. Always open.&nbsp;Mass On Site ⛪Koinonia acts as a sort of chaplaincy for any Catholic young person with other groups, and for Summer Madness volunteers&hellip; this is a very inclusive festival! We&#39;ll be celebrating Mass together as part of the weekend. So we get to have the craic and come together to worship. Best of both worlds.&nbsp; Who is it for?No matter where you&rsquo;re from, or where you are at in faith &ndash; you are 100 thousand times welcome! We have youth programmes running in Ballymena Family of Parishes and St Colmcille&#39;s Belfast, and in Cork but don&rsquo;t let that stop you registering interest. We&rsquo;ll have a couple of get-to-know-you meets leading up to the festival (so you&rsquo;ll know the group and leaders before arriving on site). If you&#39;re between 11 and 18 (Yr 8-14) and fancy the best few days of your summer, register your interest below. We also have short weekend options (Friday to Sunday), and day tickets for those in Yr7 who aren&rsquo;t ready for camping sleepovers!&nbsp;Hold Up &ndash; What Does &quot;Register Interest&quot; Mean?It just means you&#39;re keen. You&#39;re not buying anything yet. You&#39;re basically putting your hand up so we know to save you a spot. Once we know who&#39;s in, we&#39;ll send you all the details (cost, times, packing list, etc.).&nbsp;The Important Stuff (For Parents)Leaders: We&#39;ll have a full team of leaders with us the whole time. All of our leaders are safeguarded through the Diocese, and are trained in youth ministry.Safety: Your young person&#39;s safety is our top priority. The Community Hub means there&#39;s always a familiar face and a safe space to come back to. If you have any questions about this, please just ask (we&rsquo;re happy to reassure you).Medical: We&#39;ll ask for all the necessary info once we confirm places. We have a fridge onsite for any medication that needs stored. Summer Madness also has a medical team onsite (literally, you can get to see a doctor free of charge!!!)&nbsp;Deadline to Register InterestWe&rsquo;d love to have a better idea of numbers by the end of Easter holidays (last week in April, first week in May). We can then plan our ramp-up. Don&rsquo;t panic if you are an exam student. We work around this, and do &lsquo;catch-up&rsquo; after all exams are done and dusted.&nbsp;School termThis is a youth work camp &ndash; counted as an educational activity by most schools. Once we know you&rsquo;re coming, we will write a letter to the school principal to get you an authorised absence (and more often than not, marked present &ndash; schools count it as a Religious Studies residential).
