This ESEA Heritage Month, Xanthe Pajarillo (The Feral Academic) and MilkTea invite you to MilkTea Mixtape: Horror Edition at Birmingham&#39;s Mockingbird Cinema. Join us for an evening celebrating British East and Southeast Asian horror filmmaking, featuring four bold and distinctive horror shorts that deserve to be seen on the big screen. Expect sharp storytelling, unsettling imagery, bold visuals, and plenty of horror followed by a lightning round of horror trivia (with a prize!) and a live podcast discussion exploring a bigger question:Why are ESEA filmmakers making more horror? We&#39;ll be joined by filmmaker Chi Thai (Lullaby, Raging Grace) and film academic Sazkia Anggraini (University of Birmingham) to unpack the growing world of ESEA horror filmmaking, the stories being told through the genre, and why creating spaces to watch and discuss this work matters.
