LXCL:Abbey Garden Friends invite you to an evening where the contents of previously unseen letters from the Bury Botanic Garden which existed between 1820 and 1861 are revealed . It should be a fascinating evening filling in some of the history of what we now know as the Abbey Gardens .

The letters give glimpses of &nbsp;the plants Hodson was growing and &nbsp;trading with other gardeners and how he dealt with the vagaries of postage , transport and debt. It should be a fascinating evening, revealing &nbsp;new insights into the history of the Bury Botanic Garden which we now enjoy as the Abbey Gardens .
