Niall Hanna is a traditional singer and songwriter from County Tyrone, known for his steady, expressive vocal style and his strong link to Ulster song.&nbsp; Raised in Derrytresk, he continues the legacy of his grandfather Geordie Hanna, whose influence shaped his approach to both singing and writing.&nbsp; In 2024, he was named TG4 Singer of the Year, recognising his contribution to the tradition. As a songwriter, Hanna blends clear storytelling with a gentle lyrical touch, drawing on rural life, family history, and the landscapes around Lough Neagh.&nbsp; His albums Autumn Winds and The Roving Journeyman highlight a modern yet rooted voice in Irish folk.
