Experiment with glowing colour, layered materials and blacklight-reactive paints to create your own 3D artwork to take home. Blacklight Lab is a playful, open-ended creative session where children can explore how colours, shapes and materials transform under UV light. The suggested theme will be an underwater world, with children creating layered aquarium-style dioramas using card, paint and simple construction techniques &mdash; but they are welcome to follow their own ideas and create a completely different glowing world if they prefer. &nbsp;A futuristic cityscape, a Jurassic land complete with volcanoes - the choice is theirs!&nbsp; Alongside the main activity, children who finish early can also create their own 2D blacklight paintings and experiment further with fluorescent colour.Our Creative Labs are designed to encourage imagination, experimentation, confidence and joy in the creative process, with support from two friendly artist facilitators.
