• Model calm, responsible behaviour around seals, seabirds, and marine mammals.
• Follow the 100‑metre guidance from the DEFRA Coastal & Wildlife Code.
• Let wildlife choose the interaction, especially dolphins, porpoises, and seals.
• Avoid silent predator‑like approaches on paddleboards, kayaks, canoes, or when snorkelling.
• Keep dogs under control in sensitive wildlife areas.
