Children are warmly welcomed to join us&nbsp;in the Main Hall of Carrick Knowe School for an&nbsp;afternoon filled with fun and festivity. Tickets are available for just &pound;3 each. Children are encouraged to come dressed in their&nbsp;best costumes, which can be worn to school in the&nbsp;morning.&nbsp;However, please **leave masks at home** as they are&nbsp;not allowed&nbsp;and will need to be left at the door if&nbsp;worn. All children are welcome to wear costumes on Friday 30th October, regardless of if they&rsquo;re coming to the disco or not. &nbsp;This includes nursery children. **How will you know my child has a ticket if I buy it online?** ⚬ When you buy the ticket online, it will ask you to enter your child&rsquo;s name. We will have a checklist of all children who have had a ticket purchased, which we will use for children who don&rsquo;t have a physical ticket. **What happens to the money raised by the disco?** ⚬ All profit is put into Parent Council funds, which are then used to fund items/events for the school that they wouldn&rsquo;t otherwise be able to afford. **Why can&rsquo;t I stay at the disco with my child?** ⚬ To ensure the safety and well-being of all children, school discos organised by the Parent Council are for pupils only. The school and Parent Council have a duty of care to all children attending. Restricting attendance to pupils and authorised volunteers helps us maintain appropriate supervision, manage the event safely, protect children&#39;s privacy, and respond effectively in the event of an emergency. We understand that some younger children may feel nervous about attending without a parent or carer. However, our volunteers work hard to create a welcoming, supportive environment where children can enjoy the event safely with their friends. This approach is consistent with Scottish safeguarding and child protection guidance, including the principles of Getting It Right For Every Child (GIRFEC) and the wellbeing duties set out in the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014. We appreciate your understanding and support in helping us provide a safe, enjoyable experience for all pupils. ⚬ Please note, if your child has a medical or ASN need for you to remain with them, this can be arranged.
