Pickle Night Ticket

Pickle Night 2026 brings our Sheffield Sea Cadets community together to honour naval tradition and support the next wave of adventures ⚓️. Pickle Night is to comemorate HMS Pickle which is the famous ship first to bring the news of the British victory and the death of Lord Nelson at the Battle of Trafalgar to England in 1805. Though too small to engage in the actual fighting during the 1805 battle, the fast-sailing schooner was chosen to carry Admiral Collingwood's vital dispatches. She was commanded by Lieutenant John Richards Lapenotiere, the ship landed in Falmouth, triggering a famous 36-hour post-chaise dash to London to alert the Admiralty. ⛵️ In 1807, she captured the French privateer Favorite before she was ultimately wrecked off the coast of Spain in 1808 with no loss of life. Menu- Starters: Chicken Satay Skewers, Mackerel Paté, Creamy Mushroom Soup (V). Mains: 5 Bean Stew & Dumplings (V), Beef Goulash, Chicken Casserole. Desserts: Syrup Sponge & Custard, Chocolate Fudge Cake & Ice Cream, Lemon Cheese Cake. Select when booking tickets. Please complete this form to reserve your space 🎫.
