Altigana has partnered with the UN Women&rsquo;s Peace and Humanitarian Fund on projects supporting women&rsquo;s leadership, peacebuilding and community resilience across Sudan. Currently, Altigana is carrying out urgent life-saving food distribution in El Fasher, providing meals to communities trapped under siege and facing starvation. According to UN Women, Altigana has &ldquo;fostered a dynamic and inclusive approach to advancing women&rsquo;s roles in peace and humanitarian processes.&rdquo; &nbsp; Every ticket sold goes straight to feeding people in urgent need. Line-up: &nbsp; The Scorpios: A London-based collective of Sudanese musicians who fled their home country in the 1980s, creating a unique sound blending traditional Sudanese rhythms, Arabic melodies, and 70&rsquo;s psychedelic funk. Their self-titled debut was praised by the likes of Gilles Peterson and their 2018 single &ldquo;Mashena&rdquo; gained international attention. They&rsquo;ve played UK stages from Womad to the Jazz Cafe, as well as major European venues.&nbsp; Basma:&nbsp;Basma is the host of Khartoum Arrivals on NTS Radio and the co-host of radio show and record label Hear, Sense and Feel. She plays music inspired by the long road, drawing from the wedding anthems and eclectic folk of Sudan, the Sahel, the Horn and beyond. Jasper Green &amp; Sam Palizian:&nbsp;Pianist Jasper Green joins bassist/producer Sam Palizian (apltn) for an evening of improvisations, original music, and reinterpretations of their favourite pieces. Drawing inspiration from the impressionist shapes of Debussy and Ravel, the joyful sounds of Pharoah Sanders, and the electronic grooves of Madlib and Nujabes, the duo&rsquo;s debut performance promises to be a warming and uplifting experience.
