Join us in Edinburgh for a two-day creative workshop for teenage harpists, exploring contemporary approaches to harp playing with two of Scotland&rsquo;s most exciting young harpists, Dara Dubh and Malachy Arnold. Over the 2 days, we&rsquo;ll get away from the music stand and experiment with:✨ Percussive harp techniques 🎵 Bass lines and grooves 🔁 Loop pedals and layering 🥁 Rhythm and beats 🎧 Pop, folk-fusion and contemporary sounds 🎶 Creating your own arrangements Dara and Malachy are both known for pushing the harp in exciting new directions &mdash; from Dara&rsquo;s indie-pop and genre-defying songwriting to Malachy&rsquo;s fusion of clarsach with electronic, house and techno influences.This is a chance to experiment, create and find your own sound, alongside other young harpists in a relaxed and supportive environment. Both lever and pedal harpists are welcome. You don&rsquo;t need any experience with looping, improvisation or contemporary techniques &mdash; just bring your harp and a willingness to try something new!
