Following Bayan Ko vol. I which showcased the Filipino people&rsquo;s struggle against imperialism, vol II.Tindig&nbsp;will highlight a key movement in the Philippines: the agrarian struggle.&nbsp; Exploring the many ways that peasants and their allies fight exploitation and land grabbing, we will screen a series of short films weaving stories of struggle in song and action. The programme will be followed by a food workshop during which we will collectively make piaya - a sugar-filled unleavened flatbread - to encourage conversations and share reflections on the themes of the day. Bilaos painted at our last screening will be exhibited in the space. A warm (vegan &amp; gluten-free) meal will be served at the start of the event. The programme will then begin with a presentation to contextualise the films. This event is an opportunity to keep building our budding community in Glasgow and its surroundings.
