Two silhouetted bats fly above the words "TRICK OR TREAT STREET" in the foreground, while a jack-o'-lantern and a "TRICK OR TREAT" sign are set against rolling hills in the background.

Trick or Treat Street 👻A calm and enclosed way for SEN children and their families to experience trick or treating. 💀 A parent has shared that traditional trick or treating isn't accessible for their family, let's change that together. 💚 How will it work?

We will create our own Trick or Treat Street on the field with Halloween themed houses🏘️

Each one will have a character waiting behind the "door" 🚪🫣

Children can go from door to door, knock (if they want to!) and collect a treat 🍭

Families can move around at their own pace 🧘‍♀️

There will also be places to stop, regulation activities, sensory activities, craft activities, decorations and photo opportunities along the way 🎃

This is a calm event, there will be Halloween decorations and people in costumes but there will be no jump scares or loud noises. Even the parents are safe... Or are they 👀 There is no pressure to knock, speak, say "trick or treat", wear a costume or visit every door. 💚 (Building an actual street would be very expensive - the houses will be makeshift but it will add to the spookiness) Children can take part in whatever way works for them. 💚 Parents and carers stay with their children at all times | This event is run by volunteers 💚 🚗 Parking is on street only, if you have ever visited Light Night at Wigan Park then you will be able to park in a similar area to where you did for that. The Scout Hut isn't far from Wigan Park. Please be mindful of residents when parking (we are working on using a nearby space but this isn't guaranteed) 💰 This is a free event, if you would like to contribute please feel free to enter or share our Halloween Cash Draw.
