St David&#39;s Church is working hard to close a funding gap this year so that we can continue serving our local community and move confidently into 2027, when our church building will celebrate its 70th anniversary. I have decided to take on a 12-hour Ukulelathon and Sing-a-long to help raise much-needed funds. Throughout the day I&#39;ll be playing familiar songs, and everyone is welcome to come along, sing, listen, stay for a while, or simply offer encouragement. The Inspiration My inspiration comes from the story of David and Goliath.When King Saul offered David his armour and sword, David realised they were not right for him because he wasn&#39;t used to them. Instead, he chose what was already in his hand and what he knew best&mdash;his sling. God used that simple gift to achieve something extraordinary.I don&#39;t have a sling&mdash;but I do have a ukulele! It&#39;s something I play regularly and enjoy, so I&#39;m using what is in my hand to help support St David&#39;s and the community we serve.
