🌟 HELP US HELP VICTIMS OF HURRICANE HELENE 🌟 Tennessee Initiative for Equitable Health provides financial assistance and educational services to health-related small businesses across our state so they can provide better care to our communities and those around us in need of extra support. We will providing support to the following organizations to organize, coordinate, and transport human milk donations, infant feeding supplies donations, and in-person volunteer services to victims of Hurricane Helene:<ul><li style="width:100%;margin-top:0px;margin-bottom:0px;box-sizing:inherit;color:rgb(0, 0, 0)"><a href="https://www.milkhoneylactationservices.com/" rel="noopener noreferrer" style="color:inherit;text-decoration:inherit;user-select:auto;box-sizing:inherit" target="_blank">Milk+Honey Health, LLC</a> </li><li>Birthstone Breastfeeding & Wellness Center</li><li>Temple Chiropractic </li><li>Lilac Health – Birth & Wellness Center</li></ul> Donations will be spent in the following ways:<ul><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Ensuring income for IBCLCs, CLSPs, CLCs, CLSs, CBSs, and other lactation professionals volunteering their time to support families residing in shelters and educating shelter workers in proper sanitation related to feeding infants.<ul><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Small businesses and their employees are completely financially dependent on their ability to see patients day-to-day, they do not receive additional funding to cover expenses while responding to the need for professionals during disasters. In order to volunteer in response to natural disasters, these businesses and their employees still need to keep their lights on and feed their families.</li></ul></li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Purchasing specific items needed by shelters to ensure SAFE infant feeding measures.</li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Covering costs incurred by these small businesses to store and transport donated milk and items.
