In the Spring of 2025, the Marymount University Doctor of Physical Therapy program will partner with Global Community Health Volunteers to send a team of student physical therapists to serve the people of Solola, Guatemala with much-needed physical therapy services.
This is the 15th medical mission trip organized by the MU DPT program and the 4th consecutive year the team has traveled to Guatemala. We have built strong relationships with community leaders, local clinicians, and the public hospital staff and are privileged to be able to support this community once more.
We will take a team of 23 students and 6 faculty to Panajachel, Guatemala to work in small clinics, the public hospital, a local special needs school, and a senior center. Many of these facilities have limited resources and an abundance of patients to care for. Our team provides a needed boost in support, and training of local clinicians as they continue to help those in need.
Every dollar given will be used to support the team and those we serve in Panajachel.
