Since January 1st, 2023, SHARES has had 77 new intakes for a total of 137 individuals accessing our services. However, this number is not including individuals who started accessing our services before January 1st, 2023, and with those numbers included, we have served approximately 175 individuals this calendar year already. With the biggest year we've had since opening, we have seen the median age of those we are supporting climb to 65 years old, with the oldest being 95 years old. Now more than ever we are feeling the demand to support those who are experiencing food insecurity or homelessness. This Giving Tuesday, if you can find it within your heart and means to support our mission, we would be incredibly grateful. Each and every donation received will go towards providing food to those experiencing food insecurity or homelessness in Vermont.
