Tim Sullivan wanted to give urban kids the opportunity to learn how to canoe and kayak in their own backyard. After 3 successful years at Keney Park, we&#39;re ready to expand on his vision for more challenging programming and buying our own equipment. The Hartford City Council will grant $20,000 for City Paddles 2026 programming, but we want to triple match that in his honor (Tim was sadly struck by a severe stroke this year, the photo shows him in healthier days with Henry Hester of Friends of Keney Park!) Your tax-deductible dollars will help us : -- &nbsp;Expand spring and fall programming to include canoeing and kayaking on the Farmington River-- &nbsp;Buy our own canoes and kayaks and other equipment-- &nbsp;Hire a consultant to start a competitive river kayaking program for teens-- &nbsp;Hire a consultant to expand family programming to Batterson Park in Farmington-- &nbsp;Hire a grant writer to secure funds for a part-time or full-time staff member.
