Thanks for helping the Foundations reach their Giving Tuesday goal of $200,00 toward the Foundations' student programs. Proceeds from Giving Tuesday will support the Joe Hale Student Sponsorship Fund, the Robert W. Lyons and Lewis W. Newlan scholarship funds. The Joe Hale Student Sponsorship Fund (formerly named the student convention fund) has helped sponsor over 320+ students to attend the IIBEC International Convention and Trade Show and IIBEC BES by covering registration, hotel, meals, and travel expenses. The Lyons and Newlan scholarships are academic scholarships given out annually to up to eight students studying architecture, engineering, building and construction sciences.

Thank you for your generosity! Your gift will help our mission of promoting research, education, and the dissemination of information about the building enclosure industry. Because of gifts like yours, the Foundation has supported sending over 350 college students to the Annual IIBEC International Convention and Trade Show, as well as the Building Enclosure Symposium. Additionally, the foundation has also established two needs-base academic scholarships for college, university, and trade school students studying architecture, engineering, and building or construction sciences in the US and Canada. So far we have given out $175,000 in scholarships to more than 50 students. We also completed studies on unit-price procurement with Colorado State University; the thermal properties of roof fasteners in collaboration with Virginia Tech, and the testing of adhered masonry during seismic and wind events in collaboration with the Thin Masonry Consortium and Portland State University. Finally, the foundation funded Wind Uplift on Low-Slope Roofs (Fifth Edition) as well as the Roof Drainage (Second Edition).
