🌟 Join us in Celebrating the Meadville Market House 🌟 Anniversaries come and go when you’ve been around as long as the Meadville Market House. This year brings another milestone for this great community asset: One hundred and fifty-five years, and going strong!  In the past years, the Market House has received a completely new electrical supply and interior wiring; undergone a full reworking of the interior market space; added freezers, refrigerators and coolers to accommodate a wide variety of foods; renovated the bakery space; added a dining counter for brunches; provided tables and seating that’s open for the community to use; renovated and upgraded our restroom; and financed the purchase and (soon!) installation of new exterior doors! How did all this happen? The Market House raises money through our sales (of course), grants and most importantly through the generous support of donors just like you: It’s that support that has made the projects and improvements possible and allowed the Market House to thrive and grow. In 2024, we saw record-breaking sales at the Meadville Market House, where each dollar you spend goes back into your community. Through our consignment program, we put $161,000 back into the local economy. So what can you buy at the Market House? Too much to fit into this letter! Local beef, pork, and chicken; wild-caught salmon; fresh-baked sourdough bread and the best English muffins you’ll ever taste; Channellock tools, made right here in Meadville; local honey and maple syrup; alpaca goods, hand-crafted jewelry, pottery, cutting boards, and other gifts of all kinds; local milk and eggs; and even Market House swag from hats to sweatshirts! And that’s just half of it - literally! Stop by to visit our retail partners: get fresh-baked soft pretzels from Save Room for Dessert; eat in or take out the delicious menu options from Kettle Lake Kitchen; say hello to Nancy Asmus and watch her craft amazing art out of fabrics; and view more art, watch a show, or catch a class at Meadville Council on the Arts upstairs.  So what does your dollar bring you with a donation to the Meadville Market House? Our efforts and improvements continue, with upgrades to our kitchen space, more dining options and cooking classes, new vendors, upgraded display areas and even fresh paint on the list of upcoming projects.
