Built around the late 1700's-early 1800's , this was home to the Mode Family. The family built a sawmill, grist mill, fulling mill and later on the first paper mill of the Borough. Plans include restoration of the house for use as Borough Hall and Community Center, all accessible playground, walking trails and access to the West Branch of the Brandywine.
