Thousands of Mustangs are removed from their home in the wild every year, and many of them end up in feed lots that send them over the border to Mexico to be brutally slaughtered for human consumption. Even worse, some are sold for the "sport" of horse tripping where the horse is chased around an arena and participants try to rope the horse by their front legs. This is done repeatedly until the horse breaks their leg or neck from falling to the ground and they are killed.
The Mustang Project is an all volunteer organization that provides sanctuary for at risk Mustangs. 100% of your donation goes toward the rescue and care of at risk Mustangs. This includes providing bailing Mustangs in feed lots at risk of going to slaughter, or feed, medication, and vet care of horses at the sanctuary.
