Who We Are We are the 1st Squadron, 82nd Cavalry Regimental Association — a federally-recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit proudly dedicated to supporting the Soldiers, Veterans, and Families of the 1-82 Cavalry Squadron. Our mission is clear: preserve the history, honor, and traditions of the Arrowhead Regiment while strengthening the community that surrounds it. The 1-82 Cavalry has been a cornerstone of Central Oregon’s military history for decades. Our association exists to ensure that legacy is never forgotten — and that those who serve today, and those who served before, always have a community standing behind them. What Your Support Directly Funds When you give to the Association, your contribution goes straight into programs that make a real difference in the lives of our Troops and their Families. Military funding covers missions and training — not the heritage, morale, and community-building activities that keep a Regiment strong. That’s where your support steps in. Soldier & Family Support

Events that build community and morale across the Regiment — from Regimental balls and family days to unit heritage celebrations.

Support for current Soldiers during training cycles, deployments, and reintegration periods.

Outreach to spouses and families to keep them connected and supported throughout the year.

Veteran Recognition & Heritage Preservation

Programs recognizing retiring Soldiers, fallen heroes, and past members of the 1-82 Cavalry.

Maintaining and updating the Regimental Room and historical displays that preserve Arrowhead heritage for future generations.

Honoring individuals through our Hall of Honor selection and induction process.

Community Engagement

Partnering with local organizations that support the unit’s Soldiers, families, and veterans.

Sponsoring events that strengthen ties between Central Oregon communities and the Regiment that has served them for decades.

Your Donation Is In Good Hands We understand that trust is everything. Here’s how we ensure your dollars are used exactly as intended:

A volunteer Board of Directors strictly manages all funds, with no compensation to board members.

All expenditures require board approval — there are no exceptions.

A dedicated Finance Committee manages budgets, taxes, and 501(c)(3) compliance.

Who We Serve Your donation impacts every part of the 1-82 CAV Regimental community:

Currently serving Soldiers

Families of deployed and drilling troops

Veterans and retirees of the Regiment

Gold Star families and community partners

Membership is open not just to Soldiers and retirees, but to supporters, partners, and friends of the Regiment — anyone who believes in what we do. Our Committees Put Donations to Work We operate through active committees that turn funding into action:

Events Committee: Runs all morale and heritage events supporting Soldiers and families.

Hall of Honor Committee: Maintains traditions, honors retirees, and preserves history.

Technology & Newsletter Committee: Manages communication, outreach, and membership tools.

Finance Committee: Ensures responsible stewardship of donor funds and tax compliance.

Every dollar you give truly makes an impact.Together, we build stronger families, proud traditions, preserved history, and a connected, resilient Regiment.
