This year, our special project is to support Chera Fellowship Magazine, a quarterly publication created especially for widows and widowers over 30 years ago by Carol Gregory. Currently, we distribute approximately 700 copies each quarter through individual subscriptions and bulk orders. Many churches across the United States use Chera Fellowship Magazine as an outreach ministry to those who are grieving. Through bulk subscriptions, churches are able to provide the magazine to widows and widowers within their congregations and communities, offering encouragement, hope, and Christian fellowship during a difficult season of life. We also provide two complimentary issues to any newly widowed person who requests them. Over the past several years, the cost of producing and mailing the magazine has increased significantly. Printing expenses have risen by 14.3%, and postage costs have increased by 38.6%. Despite these rising costs, it remains our desire to keep Chera Fellowship Magazine affordable and accessible, especially for those living on a fixed income. The offering received for this project will help supplement the subscription fees we collect, allowing us to maintain our current subscription rate while continuing to provide this ministry to those who depend on it.
