What is Others day? The goal of Others Day has always been to bless the community and help the school at the same time. In many respects, Others Day is similar to the civic projects sponsored by colleges, universities, and churches that benefit their worthy causes. Our goal is to equip YACS students to build up God’s kingdom. We would like everyone to participate in Others Day. The blessing is not only for YACS, but the community as well. This service helps our children to develop an active and working faith. The book of James teaches that faith without works is dead (James 2:17). If you are new to YACS here is a very brief synopsis of how Others Day works. During the week of September 14th-18th, the school will participate in a very unique fundraiser. Instead of selling candy or popcorn, we will go out into the community to work and help other people. The way we raise money is very similar to asking for someone to sponsor you in a jog-a-thon or a race of some kind. Instead of jogging a certain number of miles, we do helpful work for other people like cleaning churches, reading books at the assisted living centers, cleaning yards for those in need, working at the food pantry, and much, much more. We ask our friends and family to make a donation to the school in your child’s name for the hard work they will be doing for others that day. This fundraiser has been extremely successful in several ways:

Teaching our students the joy of helping and working for others.

Raising money for our school.

Seeing the beautiful benefits this day has on so many people in our community as well as our own students.
