Neighbors Helping Neighbors Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving Meal with Their Family Thanksgiving is a time to gather around the table, share a meal, and create lasting memories with the people we love. For many families, however, the cost of preparing a traditional holiday meal can make that celebration feel out of reach. Thankful Hearts was founded on one simple belief: every family deserves the opportunity to enjoy Thanksgiving in their own home, around their own table, continuing the traditions that make the holiday so special. What began more than a decade ago as a conversation about the financial burden of a single holiday meal has grown into a community-driven nonprofit serving hundreds of individuals each year. From an original goal of helping just 10 families, the generosity of our donors and the dedication of our volunteers have allowed Thankful Hearts to provide complete Thanksgiving meals to approximately 150 families each year. In 2026, we are once again committed to reaching that goal&mdash;and with your help, we can make it happen. Our Take N Bake program provides families with everything they need to prepare a traditional Thanksgiving feast in the comfort of their own home. A gift of $125 sponsors a large family and provides a complete holiday meal, including a turkey, ham, stuffing mix, cranberry sauce, green beans, corn, rice, chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, yams, potatoes, onions, sugar, tea, butter, bread, and rolls. When neighbors come together to help neighbors, we do more than provide food&mdash;we give families the opportunity to celebrate with dignity, create cherished memories, and experience the joy of Thanksgiving together.
