25-26 Annual Appeal - Please Donate!To continue to deliver on our mission and maintain the highest quality program, while keeping tuition as low as possible, we rely on contributions to our annual appeal. Each year we reach out to families and friends of Learning Circle to ask that you consider making a donation to the school in support of the wonderful experiences and environment we all share. In the past, contributions to the annual appeal have allowed for realizing the first phase of our natural playground, the purchase of magnetic display boards for every classroom, the purchase of an outdoor easel, tree benches, the mud kitchen, outdoor instruments and stage on the playground, engaging and interactive enrichment programs that visit classrooms a number of times throughout the school year, support of financial aid, professional development opportunities for teachers, and enhancements to the school library in support of a variety of curricular topics. In any year, our biggest expense is our teacher&rsquo;s salaries, benefits, training, and support. Every teacher has made extraordinary contributions to the development of our curriculum. There would be no program without them. And we are so excited to be using the first phase of our new playground thanks to community support! Teachers and family members worked collaboratively with a designer and educator from Dimensions Educational Research Foundation, using research-based, field-tested design principles that support children&rsquo;s learning and social/emotional development in all areas. By working together to articulate our ideas and wishes for the space and for the children, we have been able to both expand and enrich our playground into a true outdoor classroom. This year we are planning a second phase so that we can add final elements to our outdoor space, including a greenhouse, an entryway arbor, and a deck and stage/seating area dedicated to block and construction play. We also hope to add a few elements to the wooded area, including hammocks and some additional plantings.
