<h3>Small Towne America... Something Worth Saving</h3><div style="width:100%;box-sizing:inherit">The main mission of Small Towne Preservations is to acquire, rehab, and restore the many forgotten commercial buildings in small towns and villages. Starting with ourbeloved home town of Sharon, Wisconsin we hope to see every building occupied with a thriving business making our downtown a vibrant destination. Along with forgotten commercial buildings, many historic homes find themselves run down, with only a faint idea of the greatness they once were. Our mission is to help homeowners acquire grants and funding to restore these homes to their past grandeur. The last piece of the puzzle is the small towne way of life. Through community projects and events we hope to instill the tight knit sense of community that makes small towne living so great.<hr /><h3>With the help of donors like you, we have been able to complete several community projects</h3><ul><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Through community fundraising we were able to purchase, assemble, and place eight new benches throughout the Sharon Downtown. These benches are not only nice to look at but they are made of recycled plastic, are safe and comfortable, and will last for many many years with little to no maintenance. </li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">In the summer of 2022 we hosted four Cruise In nights. Classic cars from around the area parked in our historic downtown. Car owners and enthusiast gathered to chat about cars and to shop and dine at the local business throughout the downtown.       </li><li style="line-height:1.5;box-sizing:inherit">Thanks to a grant from AARP Wisconsin, we were able to supply forty meals to members of the community. Some gathered together for friendly conversation with their meal and some meals were delivered to those in need who couldn't make it out to the event. We're hoping to make this a yearly holiday event.     </li><li style="box-sizing:inherit">Thanks to our board member, Doug Koehler, we were able to hand out fishing poles to local children in return for coloring us a picture. Pictures were proudly displayed at Small Towne Market and each child left with a pole!     </li></ul><hr /><h3>In 2023 we took on our biggest project to date!</h3>In July, we acquired one of the oldest buildings in Sharon, Wisconsin. The Prindle House, more commonly known as the Sharon Tap and Bowl is home to a vintage second story bowling alley that was installed in 1938. Prior to that, the building was home to a general store, jewelry store, and even an ice cream parlor. Through gifts from donors like you, we are embarking on pealing back the layers and restoring the building back to its original look and feel.
