While driving to our office for help, Sharon's car ran out of gas.  She walked the last ½ mile and we were able to help her avoid eviction. (Client names changed to protect their privacy.)I’m writing to you today on behalf of The Assistance House of Ross County, a 501(c)(3) organization that provides assistance to working Ross County families living at or below 225% of poverty.  Another client, Tom, a father of four, came with an electric shut-off notice. He had never missed paying his bills in the past, but his employer had recently cut his work hours.  His family will now have heat and lights for Thanksgiving.  These are just a couple of examples of the way we help, either with utility or rent payments, return to work assistance, work shoes and clothing, school shoes for children, and eye exams and glasses. In 2024 three hundred and thirteen families, 870 of our neighbors received a helping hand.We need your help to continue our work.  Your tax deductible donation of $25 will help keep gas in the family car; $150 will help keep the lights and heat on in a family home; $300 will help keep a family in their home. Any donation you can give will be greatly appreciated.You may donate through this website (The Assistance House will get 100% of your donation) or mail a check to: The Assistance House P.O.
