In December 2025, our Young Marines have been given an extraordinary opportunity to attend the Pearl Harbor Remembrance event. This event serves as a poignant tribute to all those who lost their lives, were impacted by, and fought during the devastating attacks on Pearl Harbor, as well as the brave men and women who fought for our country during World War II. During their visit to Pearl Harbor, the Young Marines will have the honorable privilege of laying a wreath at the National Cemetery of the Pacific, paying tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. They will also have the chance to visit the USS Arizona, where they will witness firsthand the remnants of that fateful day and pay their respects to the fallen. Additionally, our Young Marines will be able to participate in the memorial events on the base, march in the esteemed Pearl Harbor Memorial Parade, and have the precious opportunity to speak with survivors of the attacks. These experiences will undoubtedly deepen their understanding of history, instill a sense of gratitude, and inspire them to become responsible and compassionate citizens. Of course, this trip is not solely dedicated to solemn remembrance. In their free time, the Young Marines will engage in enriching activities such as hiking the Diamond Head crater, snorkeling and swimming at Hanauma Bay, and venturing to M'akapu Point. These experiences will broaden their perspectives, expose them to new cultures and natural wonders, and create lasting memories. By contributing to this cause, you will directly impact the life of a young person who might never have the chance to leave the Washington DC area.
