**The Youth Sanctuary Initiative (YSI): A Safe Space for Chicago's Youth** YSI is here to make a difference in the lives of at-risk youth in Chicago. Our program gives young people a safe place to hang out, find support, and connect with positive opportunities—like jobs, mentoring, and activities—that keep them away from violence and negative influences. Think of it as a relaxing space where youth can just be themselves. **Our Big Goal: A Permanent Home** Right now, we’re working to secure a forever home for YSI. We hope to buy or transform an unused school into a welcoming center where youth  can get everything from counseling and education help to job training. It’ll be a spot where they can relax, feel safe, and grow. We believe this space will be more than just a building—it’ll be a home that helps prevent homelessness, reduces violence, and strengthens our community.
