Please support our 40 for Hope Campaign. Why? Forty is an important and symbolic number in the bible. In scripture, 40 represents a period of preparation and renewal, our shelter provides that same safe haven where over 4,000 men, women, and children have found the security needed to rebuild their lives. It symbolizes new life and growth and $40 is roughly the cost of providing one day of services to a guest in Jack's House of Hope. Jack's House of Hope operates with a 40-bed capacity to provide immediate, wrap-around protection for individuals and families in crisis. Since 2005, Friends of the Homeless of Tuscarawas County, a non-denominational nonprofit organization, has managed the only homeless shelter in Tuscarawas County. Friends of the Homeless of Tuscarawas County establishes a culture of responsible living for our guests and families who are without critical services, food and safe shelter. Our goal is to help the men, women and children in our shelter achieve the hope and resources needed for lasting stability, sobriety, employment, and housing.
