Every day, children in our community face the harsh reality of living in motels—temporary solutions that are no substitute for the stability and dignity of a home. Housing Plus Inc. is committed to changing this narrative through the "Motel to Home" initiative, aiming to transition 1000 families from motels to safe, permanent, and affordable housing by June 2025. We are members of the Motel to Home Alliance, consisting of other Greater Atlanta nonprofits. Our goal is to expand outreach and include the delivery of food items, diapers, sanitary items, while assisting to transition the families into permanent housing. Hotel and motel stays are for vacationing and family visits, not a substitute for a home. 

Why Does It Matter?:

For children, stability in housing is stability in life—impacting education, health, and emotional well-being. For adults, it means an opportunity to build a secure future. By contributing to our campaign, you're not just providing walls and a roof; you're offering a foundation for families to thrive.

Every donation brings us closer to our goal of $60,000, directly supporting the transition costs for these families. Just $2,000 helps move one family out of a motel and into a real home, covering necessary expenses like rent support, furniture, and/or utilities setup.
