As Scoutmaster of the newly established Scouts BSA Troop 74, it has been brought to my attention that there are individuals, businesses, and corporations who would like to support our Scouting program but don't know how.  We are fortunate to have been chartered by American Legion Post 74 and have a strong veteran presence in our troop.   This year, our troop will attend monthly campouts, conduct frequent service projects in the community, and continuously work on self-improvement through rank advancement and various merit badges.  In June 2025, the troop will head to Payson, AZ to attend Camp Geronimo, a weeklong scouting adventure surrounded by over 5,000 acres of ponderosa pine forest and trail system where Scouts can explore the very edge of the Colorado Plateau.  The Scouts will be able to choose from over 40 merit badges to build their own schedule and expand their knowledge.  We presently have 14 Scouts who plan on attending camp in 2025.   Starting a new troop is no small endeavor and the Scouts of Troop 74 need assistance to get this program up and running.  The Scouts will participate in fundraisers over the year to help earn their way, but if participating in a fundraiser isn't what you had in mind, we do accept donations which will go directly to the troop to help make this program successful.  As our Scouts work their way toward the rank of Eagle through our program, these activities help to make a well-rounded individual who will live a life of purpose and make a difference for others in the future.   Sincerely,Jen SchooleyScoutmaster, Scouts BSA Troop 74 ***Change the service fee to OTHER and then enter $0****
