The Domino Effect believes in developing youth into leadership roles. Children are like sponges and they desire to absorb growth if present with the opportunities. We believe a good leader is "revered rather than feared".   Bullies often seek attention, acceptance and approval, admiration, and affiliation. They are often powerful, popular, influential, and followed. Leverage Camp will harness those talents and redirect them into positive channels. Leverage Leadership Retreat is an experience where students will develop leadership, entrepreneurial skills and personal growth through building an event for their school. Through this process, studies of Maslow's hierarchy of needs, 6 basic human needs, the psychology and impact of earning respect through leadership will be the nucleus of the curriculum. A philanthropic focus on kindness, empathy, compassion, acceptance will meet the entrepreneurial strengths of budget forecasting/management, goal setting, event execution, timeline management. The foundations of a well-rounded leader/entrepreneur with a wide range of skills and eclectic departments will be established.  Students will engage in: writing and delivering speech, planning an event, creating a theme, establishing/maintaining a budget, forecasting and managing a timeline, project managing/tracking fundraising, student recruitment to fundraise, executing the event. This learning and development environment will be positive, uplifting, interactive and has multiple field trips of unique experiences.   Your donation & support will help us develop all of the departments of the leadership program and achieve our mission. We will host students nominated by schools to join us for a 2-week summer camp, winter re-treat, and spring success strategy plan where Leaders will be transformed.  Our goal is to harness the energy, strength, power, influence of students and direct these talents into leadership.  This is our team's contribution to combatting Bullying. By giving alternatives and opportunities to youth, we hope to create a positive and uplifting experience that will motivate leadership.
