We are a medium sized Food Pantry in Central Virginia. We collect food from local grocery stores and store it until distribution on Sunday. We also purchase food from Feedmore, Inc in Richmond per our agreement thru Feeding America. Our monthly purchases total approximately $1,000 per month. We are 100% volunteer and they use their own gas and vehicles. We are sometimes able to provide gas cards for volunteers who pick up multiple times a week. We have multiple freezers and refrigerators that require maintenance and upkeep, cleaning supplies and electricity.
