Hattie is our little niece and a very sick little girl at the moment :( As many of you know, Hattie has been hospitalized (currently in the NICU) for bacterial meningitis. Hattie is fighting so hard, and the doctors are doing everything they can to find answers and the proper treatment to get Hattie better so she can come home. She has undergone many tests and procedures (labs, x-rays, CTs, spinal tap, MRI, etc.) and likely has many more ahead of her. Because of her infection, she has excess fluid in her brain with lots of seizure activity, a fever that comes and goes, and some fluid in her lungs.
