As war erupts in Sudan, medical facilities and supplies are in short supply. In the capital of Sudan (Khartoum) which were most patients received their dialysis, 75% of the dialysis centers have been forced to close and are no longer functional to provide any medical help. Some of you might be fully aware of this disaster in Sudan but you might not know who this is affecting kidney patients in Sudan in general, and particularly those with kidney failure in dire need of dialysis and immunotherapy in order to survive.  Accordingly, and in response to the call of the National Kidney Center, Habib Al-Rahman Charitable Kidney Center initiates a national campaign aimed at raising funds to contribute to the purchase of dialysis consumables and immunotherapy drugs for all patients with kidney failure in Sudan. Habib Al-Rahman Charitable Center has been providing free dialysis on a regular basis for ~150-180 patients per week since its establishment in 2021 by a group of expatriate doctors. Since the beginning of the war, the center has provided free sessions for an appreciable number of patients from other centers that are left without medical supplies or have been damaged beyond repair now. Habib Al-Rahman is in the process of adding a fourth shift to accommodate a larger number of patients whenever capabilities become available. During this national campaign, we aim to collect donations to help all kidney patients by importing dialysis consumables and immunosuppressive drugs for the coming months. We sincerely hope that you donate generously so we can support the purchase of consumables and drugs worth of ~$1,000,000 per month.  Of note is that we are in communication with the central National Medical Supplies Fund (NMSF) in Sudan and we will coordinate with them so that the donations will be directly sent to the relevant companies to ship the consumables and drugs to Sudan.
